Can I decrypt or transcode the stream with SmartMEDIA?
Stream decryption
Decrypting satellite streams typically requires specialized hardware solutions that support CAM module installation. CAM modules accept cards similar to those used in DVB-C/DVB-S receivers.
SmartMEDIA does not support stream decryption functionality.
Stream transcoding
SmartMEDIA supports audio and video stream transcoding. To use this functionality, your equipment must meet specific requirements.
Supported transcoding technologies:
- Intel QSV: CPU-based transcoding using specialized graphics accelerators that support Quick Sync Video (QSV) technology
- NVIDIA NVENC: GPU-based transcoding using NVIDIA hardware encoding
