SmartCARE

Introduction

The quality of video content delivery services directly depends on hardware performance on the operator's side and access network quality on the subscriber's side. Network-level problems and platform issues affect service quality, potentially causing image freezing, reduced quality, frame loss, and other degradations. These issues negatively impact user experience and may lead to service cancellation. SmartCARE enables operators to continuously analyze content delivery quality and respond quickly to emerging problems.

Advantages

Integrated Monitoring System for IPTV and OTT

SmartCARE supports data collection and analysis for both delivery technologies in managed networks (IPTV) and over the Internet (OTT). This enables operators to use a unified solution for any service provision options.

Preventive Detection of Problems

A unique SmartCARE feature is the ability to detect potential problem areas in advance. Using mathematical clustering techniques and decision-making algorithms, SmartCARE identifies dependencies online (such as access networks, equipment types, application versions, currently viewed content, and many other parameters) for subscribers facing service difficulties. SmartCARE analyzes this data and determines which subscribers with similar parameters are at risk. This information can be used to inform subscribers about possible problems and resolution methods.

Comprehensive Data Utilization

SmartCARE uses both real-time data and all stored statistics, aggregating information in a structured way for prompt access.

SmartCARE provides real-time monitoring of current customer sessions and service quality, including real-time tracking and session monitoring.

The system also enables filtering and analyzing the history of system events. For example, you can identify declining service quality by analyzing the average number of bitrate switches over a specified period. Fewer bitrate switches indicate higher quality.

SmartLabs Ecosystem Integration

SmartCARE is pre-integrated with SmartLabs products, including SmartTUBE Service Delivery Platform (Middleware), SmartMEDIA (recording and streaming server), and SmartTUBE Clients (for STBs, mobile devices, Smart TVs, and PC/Mac). This integration enables reliable collection and analysis of the entire data range from all supported systems out of the box. Additionally, technical support operators can view middleware-related information (subscriber ID, tariff plan, territorial location, etc.) directly on the SmartCARE dashboard, reducing the time to process subscriber requests.

Comprehensive Toolset

SmartCARE simplifies operations department workflows. The convenient and functional SmartCARE interface serves monitoring departments, technical support teams, and service managers, enabling timely identification of critical network situations and maintaining high service quality. Analysis of parameter dependencies for subscribers experiencing service quality deterioration allows faster problem identification and resolution. Obtained data can be exported to CSV and PDF formats as diagrams and tables.

Open API

The open API allows connection of any third-party end-user devices, players, media streamers, and CDN components without SmartLabs engineer involvement, if needed.

Modularity and Scalability

Using the latest advanced data storage and processing technologies, SmartCARE enables building a customer information system by adding extra system modules and data storage hardware with virtually no limits.

Data Accuracy and Completeness

SmartCARE collects data from client devices, operator platforms (recording, streaming, storage servers), OSS/BSS, and edge routers. This results in more accurate and detailed information about the quality of digital TV services being provided.

Rapid Data Presentation

Requested data displays in the interface quickly regardless of the time period length specified in the filter. This is achieved through preliminary data aggregation by the SmartCARE system.
